My First Day with Drupal

Over the past 6 months, I have been working with Joomla extensively. I have developed custom Joomla Templates from scratch, built several Joomla Modules. I have worked mainly with Joomla 1.x. But, lately, I have come to realize several things in Joomla that could be done in a better way and hence I decided to look for other CMS. Since April 2008, I have been the developer of Major League Gaming Canada - built in Joomla 1.0.

I have seen Drupal before, and infact MLGPro(our Mother site) uses Drupal, and as well as one of my close buddy, but, never got the opportunity to play with it. So, I finally decided to take a closer look at Drupal in comparison with Joomla. After checking it out, I felt that Drupal is superior to Joomla from an architectural perspective. From the stand point of Community, and integration with several other Applications like osCommerce, vBulletin Forum etc., Joomla wins over Drupal without a doubt.

So, I finally decided to switch my Personal Website to Drupal to start playing with it.
